What am I Doing!? (Part 1, Project 1)
Okay, so the next few pictures are going to look “wrong” per my wife. Hehe >.< Our first graded project was to create nine hollow balls and then arrange them in any fashion to create something that would not represent anything common. The idea was to get used to dealing with gravity as well as using differnt connections to hold the clay. I used a base of five of my largest balls (STOP SNICKERING WOMAN, sheesh) in order to give it solid ground and to hold the other four. The white things holding the clay and balls up are bricks, once the project is sent to kiln the extra clay will be gone as well as the bricks. For now, I used them to defy the gravity and let harden. I tried to get a few shots of how it will look around with my phone. Not exactly the best thing to take pictures with. I suppose I should have just started shooting pics when I first started the project but I didn’t think of it so, Nyah :-p. Hehe. The last few pics are of my teacher, he is currently working on 500 bowls for a charity that will supposedly all have at least one thing different about them. Provided I finish with time to spare, I want to get down there beside him and start making some of my own works on the wheel. And now for the pictures!
