December 30th

Another loud night in “my room” as the guests spend their money and countdown to the new year.  Business is as usual if not great.  Before I go and begin drinking all the coke I can enjoy in a night, I wanted to let you know that I *finally* updated matthewbyrd.wordpress.com with my new story.  Of course I twittered it too, which is probably how most will come to find it (if I’m lucky).  I have this really long sheet with one word sentences of how I would like it to proceed.  Yeah…   Too bad I took that and shredded it along with some other things I needed to get rid of in the office.  Oh well, I know (sorta) how I want my story line to go.  With good luck, and a lack of being lazy, I may very well get the story line pushed up and out to you guys to read.

Today was pretty interesting for me.  My wife bought me a “castle creating set” from the local Hobby Lobby, apparently the manfacturer is some small company in Canada, anyways.  It has a big mould for creating bricks and archways with various pieces.  So…  Today I sat down and began fiddling with it, mixing the plaster with water (inhaling dust *cough cough* ick; OMS, I rubbed my eye with the dust…  ahhh it burns…)  >.>  So yeah, you get the idea (and realize how big a klutz I am in the progress).  With alot of help from my patient and very loving wife, I managed to create two sets of blocks and archways.  I have three more of those to make with the provided materials as well as additional materials to just craft nine sets of wall blocks.  After everything is set and popped out it will take one to two days (maybe more, since it is raining alot and humidity is sort of our thing around here) to dry.

At that point I will probably (beg my wife for money to get more plaster) craft more blocks and possibly invest in paints and clear coat.  Since we spend every weekend playing DnD (not counting me playing on Tami Moore’s personal webpage) we have been needing something to define the walls of our dungeons and town properly.  I plan to mass produce these blocks as much as possible and then when we have plenty of walls, start making little towns and buildings with them.  Maybe even a real big castle (oooo the possibilities).  Anyways, if I figure out how to post a picture on this from my blackberry then i will try and give you a look at the mess I’m making in my house. ^.^
